Commissions
A commissioned painting is a unique way to celebrate personal goals met, occasions, or simply acknowledge those we care about. They are memorable and unique gifts for a house warming, a client gift, an anniversary or retirement. Any occasion where you would present a gift is an opportunity to give a commissioned painting. I can create your own painting in any subject, be it personal portrait, bridal or family portrait, a beloved pet, corporate portrait, v.i.p., academic or judicial portrait. I can also paint posthumous portraits. I have also done commissioned paintings of buildings and places. I work primarily from photographic reference.Photographs are provided by the client, however if none are available I will make the photographs from which I will work. Here are some examples of commissioned paintings I’ve done:
To begin the process of commissioning your own painting, contact me by email (tanya (at) petruk.net) and briefly describe what you are looking for. We will set up an appointment to discuss your requirements, expectations, timeline and budget. Please have any reference images available at this time. Pricing is arrived at by an estimate of materials plus labour, which will vary depending on the size and detail desired. We can easily adjust the size of the work to accommodate your budget.
Your unique artwork will be created using professional materials to ensure durability and permanence. I provide my clients with images of the work in progress at three points: after initial sketches are complete, at the halfway point, and when the artwork is finished. These progress points allow for any unforseen alterations and feedback from the client.
Ask me about commissioning a posthumous portrait or a portrait on a funerary urn. I work in acrylics and can complete your portrait in a short time frame.
